Buildings and cities have been dramatically impacted by the Covid epidemic. We have learned the importance of designing for healthier environments that holistically support human well-being. At the same time, the new reality of remote work is impacting the relationship between work and home. How can we design buildings and cities that accommodate increasing density, and provide for healthy living, working and playing? This presentation will propose strategies for well-being that can be incorporated into the architectural design of future tall buildings. Part of the presentation will be a case study for a new model of an office high-rise that can transform to accommodate changes in economics and lifestyle.
